I don't give 5 star reviews, but this is a solid 4+ read. The story engages really quickly; it has suspense and is interesting. He's good at not giving away too much, not going data overload, but just crafting a good story. It seems as if the seeds of some political intrigue are being planted, but definitely not beating the reader over the head with a political agenda, as far as I can tell. The first Going Rogue story also had an excellent plot-line, but this one - the second - pulls back a little, is a little more subtle; this makes me happy that maybe the series can be extended for quite some time, because I really like it! Big thumbs up for this book, highly recommend it, whether you are looking for action, or if you just want someone from a different point of view to stir up your brain-cells and get you to think about "what if", without telling you what or how to think. Looking forward to more entertainment along these lines.Product details

Ranks among the best of thriller writing. Looking forward to the next Going Rogue serial. Thriller readers will enjoy this.
More hype over the book, I bought the series after a radio host reccommended the series, I thought it lacked a detailed account of the accounts written about, I thought there would be a better descriptive of the contractors life overseas.
Another exciting and well written story from Kerry Patton. If you want to get an insight into the problems veterans face at war and at home read this series.
In this second book/chapter of Going Rogue was as good as the first. A must read. Looking forward to the next Going Rogue book.

Starting to fill in some of the back story for the main character and the plot in this second installment. Great (and feasible) action and plotline. Really like the first two installments and ready for the rest.
Exceptional story from someone who knows. From the precise and clear description of the scene to the delivery of the dialogue, Patton delivers a thrill like none before.
